Happy Birthday Shelby!

My little darling Shelby has now turned 17! Shelby was born on Superbowl Sunday XXVI, boy how time has flown. On Saturday January 24, we were invited by our Bishop Sorensen and his wife to attend as a family with them the open house at the Draper Temple. After viewing the temple, and what an amazing building it was, we went to Joes' Crab Shack with the Bishop and his wife to celebrate with Shelby for her birthday. Our waiter came over and addressed Shelby and had her fitted with a crown and feather boa. While we all sang Happy Birthday to her, Shelby had to say, "I'm a pretty pretty princess!" We had a really fun time!
Later we went to celebrate her birthday at Fawn's house with Fawn and Willis and Addy and even Grandma Darlene. My brother Clint and his wife Sharon and my nephew Brett (who actually turned 16 that day) came over as well so we could celebrate with both Shelby and Brett. All in all I think Shelby had a great day! When we went to pick out her cake she even picked out a football cake! Who knew?? That she would actually LIKE Football, maybe the Superbowl Sunday birth was something huh??!! ??

After we had cake and ice cream, we heard a little racket in the kitchen and realized the Addy was gone....this is what we found!

Apparently she was not done with her cake!

Walking with the Dinosaurs!

A bunch of us decided to go to the show and take the kids and (my grandkids) to the Walking with the Dinosaurs at the Energy Solutions arena on Sunday. What an educational experience and Tyler proved to know almost every dinosaur name before they even announced it. He also knew alot of history, I was quite suprised. We decided to take Addy and Cheyenne and later Fawn decided to come along with us, she wanted to see Addy's face when she saw the dinosuars. Saturday night, I had Addy overnight and we tried to prepare her for the growling, she was really scared on Saturday night but by Sunday at the show Addy was telling grandpa Neal that she wanted to go and pet them! Go figure, she is a 1 and 1/2 year old that is so intelligent and not afraid of anything!

We had popcorn and drinks and this is a photo of Tyler and his invention with the straw so that he did not have to lift his drink or bend over to get it! And there is one with Addy trying to get the drink up the big long straw!!

About half way through the show, this was ADDY...she was so tired, we got up and 7 am and heading down to IHOP for breakfast at 10 am and then went to the show, no time for a nap so she just decided to take one when she wanted!

Tyler's second birthday party!

On Sunday, actually a few days after Tyler's 13th birthday, we had my brother Clint (or Mike as he likes to be called), Fawn & Addy and Grandma Darlene up to help Tyler celebrate. My brother and his wife Sharon and their son Brett gave Tyler a mini refrigerator he can keep his drinks and snacks in his room! How does he rate??!! What a spoiled little boy...he thinks he is so cool, he has new TV and DVD player he got for Christmas, a drum set, a playstation and computer in his room and now with a refrigerator he will never come out! Is that good or bad??!!?? We decided to decorate cupcakes again (thanks to Tammy's idea from the week before and what fun we had with Addy! We told her to smell the cupcake and when she did we smashed it a little bit in her face and the suprised look she gave us just had us all rolling! So then Addy thought she would be funny and wanted the rest of us to "smell" her cupcake so that we could get it smashed in our face too....only grandma Brenda and mommy Fawn would play her game! All in all we had another fun celebration....Fawn gave Tyler one of her name frame things...you can see it on cutecutz.blogspot.com and Grandma Darlene had sent Tyler a card with a check! He later spent it on some exernal hard drive space for his computer along with some Christmas money he had been saving...so thanks to Grandma she has helped out our little computer "nerd". TJ took Tyler snowboarding at Brighton to help celebrate his birthday actually yesterday and here is a cute video of the little snowboarder just learning:

Thanks TJ for taking him! We gave Tyler a wireless mouse and keyboard for his compuer to hook up to his new TV and a new desk chair and he wanted a scentsy candle for his room, I guess so he can keep it smelling nice in there since he will evidentally be spending alot of time in there!
Happy 13th birthday Tyler!!

Tyler's 13th Birthday-My little baby is now a teenager!! UGH!!

We celebrated Tyler's bday with Kevin & Tammy (my brother in law and sister in law) 2 days before Tyler's actual birthday. It was a lot of fun! We made Tom Sawyer's (our new name for our new drink) it is actually pomegrante margarita's.

Tammy made some cupcakes in ice cream cones and we had a competition to decorate them.

And Shelby just decided to wear the frosting on her nose instead of the cupcake and Kevin thought he would try to be like Madonna....what a crazy family we have!!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE CUTEST PICTURES EVER!!!
